[caption id="attachment_111" align="alignright" width="400" caption="The Demographics of Social Media: Ad Age"][/caption] What I find interesting, other than the cool concentric ring pie charts, is that Twitter doesn’t even show up on them. The reality is, that while Twitter is in the news, or MAKING news, every 20 minutes, it still only has adoption of 10% in the United States. Twitter is also mostly white, mostly female and mostly not young. It’s not old either, but the biggest age group @ 42.3% is 30 – 39. Second is 18 – 29 @ 41.5%. Still, 68.5 % of Twitter users are OVER the age of 30.
