Epic Automotive Aerial Videography

May 20, 2021 by mhenderson

As I get more experience and practice flying drones I get better and better imagery. The principal challenge when flying a standard single operator drone is that you have to keep the aircraft pointed at the subject. That means flying sideways and backwards as necessary to frame the shot. Dual operator drones can do this much more easily and the effect is AMAZING. But that’s not something that you can do with every project. This is a single shot I was able to capture with Harry Wagner driving his 1977 Ford F-150 4×4 at Moon Rocks, Nevada.

Automotive Aerial Videography from Arborglyph on Vimeo.

This clip features

  • Smooth cinematic movements
  • Dynamic changes of direction
  • 3-axis flying, this road climbs quite a bit as it goes up
  • High speed tracking

This clip was captured for a video I produced for Harry’s YouTube channel on his iconic truck.
