As one of my first Aerial Videography jobs I combined my skills as a videographer and video editor for to create three unique videos for Reno structural engineering company, Tectonics Design Group. The three videos showcase three active projects Tectonics built in three different areas of Reno. They gave me complete creative control to create three different and unique videos. I have a lot of fun with this one.
Mountainview Corporate Office
The first video was pretty conventional. Just some simple kinetic typography, elegant drone imagery, and up-beat music to create an elegant showcase of Tectonics Design Group's engineering work with the beautiful steel structure. The video shows the location, and bare bones design and construction technique.
Tiny Warehouse Project
You know what's fun? Using gaussian blur and masks to create a miniature effect in video. It may be over done, but that doesn't make it any less mesmerizing. I did this on a whim and the client loved it. They posted this in an email newsletter and got a lot of positive feedback. Whim / WIN!
North Valley's Commerce Center
IT was kind of creepy wandering around this huge hulk of a structure. It was hard to tell if it was going up or coming down. The sun, the smoke in the air. It was surreal. So I stumbled across some music, and turned this video into a tense post-apocalyptic tableau. Client loved this one too. FUN!
