Strategic Marketing Group’s annual workshop on Tourism, Technology and Marketing. David delivered the keynote summing up the current state of online social marketing and technology and the new mandate that brands reflect the personal connections with the customers, the need for brands to market remarkable content, and the importance of video to the new online marketing mix. I presented some of our experience with brand marketing through social video. In a time when YouTube is the #2 Search engine and the average person watches 187 videos per month, creating videos that generate interaction and sharing can be a huge asset to a brand.
